Criminal Justice Club
About the Criminal Justice Club
In 2012, the Fayetteville Police Department, in partnership with the Fayetteville High School revitalized the Fayetteville Police Explorers. The Fayetteville Police Explorers is sanctioned under Learning for Life, affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America. It is open to all students, male and female, in Fayetteville and Lincoln County, Tennessee. Students must be at least fourteen years to nineteen years of age and have an interest in law enforcement or the justice system. Advisors are Mr. Drew Ivey (Fayetteville High School) and Sgt. Scotty Vaughn (Fayetteville Police Department). Membership is open year-round and prospective members may contact Mr. Ivey at 931-433-3158. In addition to learning law enforcement activities, students participate in community service projects, as well as "high adventure" activities similar to the scouting experience.
Fayetteville High School's Criminal Justice Club, under the direction of Mr. Drew Ivey, had its first meeting of the 2024-25 school year and made plans for a field trip to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department and a future building clearing exercise.
Criminal Justice students in action
Criminal Justice has been working hard on crime scene sketches this week. These sketches of both the classroom and a school bus to scale will lead future investigations into staged crime scenes that will be documented by the class.
