About the Band

The Fayetteville High School Bands continue the long tradition of excellent bands in the Fayetteville City School System. 

The Concert Band is the core of the band program. The group rehearses daily during school, performs concerts regularly throughout the year, and makes its Concert Festival debut this year.

The Jazz Band rehearses after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays during selected periods of the year. The FHS Jazz Band is open to band students at FHS, with limited openings for FMS students as instrumentation needs dictate.

The Marching Band is the most visible element of the band. The Marching Band begins rehearsal during the summer and performs at all FHS football games as well as community events.
